Lecture on ‘A Brief History of Ancient Wisdom’
April 14

He will then cover Plato’s reception by Aristotle (and his student Alexander the Great), Plotinus and the stoics and then by the Christian theologians Augustine and Aquinas. From there, it’s onto modernity with Nietzsche and Simone Weil.
